Identifying this one has been tricky. I believe I picked it up for $13 without any documents at Pots Galore. I had a couple of attempts at working it out using some AI tools like WhatIsThePlant. (There’s also a whole identification scheme based on leaf shape, but I only had good sources for trees, and this turns out to be a shrub.) I finally got a solid enough lead to call it (some sort of ) a Weigela.

It sat around for a year or so looking upset until I got around to potting it in November 2021.

Cleaning out the roots:

Hmm… no picture of it potted. It spent about 6 weeks dropping every leaf it had, but it’s recently bounced back.
