That started growing the next year, with all of the growth coming at the top in a trunk which curved like a question mark over the top cut and went straight up. I hated it. So last autumn I cut it all back to about 8 inches high, and made sure I wired the branches to get some horizontal growth. It’s coming out nicely.
I’d almost be happy with that, but I’m hoping the branches can thicken out a bit before it goes into a bonsai pot.
