These five became four, and are now Trio and Solo.
First, the trio:
Unrestrained growth from one branch, while the one in the back is stunted.
Cleaned up, added some sand for moss, and trimmed them all to a common size.
For some reason I didn’t trim the large leaves.
Now, the Solo:
This has really been growing strongly, which I always like to see.
It’s growing well enough that I missed the wire digging into the branch.
Fool, Fool, watch the wire is the rule.
Snip, snip.
By removing those long leaves, I ended up reducing the height by about half.
Lay out sand to attract the moss:
Does planting moss even make sense? Doesn’t moss just turn up?
And it’s done.
I don’t know about that left branch. It’s coming out below the ground in this pot. Maybe it’s a sacrifice branch if the tree gets lifted at the next repotting?
