We’re in late autumn now, and this fellow is looking somewhat less lush. It’s deciduous, so I guess the leaves are going to drop soon. But also, I’d like this to look less like a shrub and more like a tree.

So onto the bench:

So the upkeep was:
- reduce the long branches
- reduce points with double branching
- clean up the jankiness at the top of the trunk
Here’s the final result:

I used some aluminium tape to cover a couple of the branch cuts, because I heard it promotes bark regrowth. Let’s see how it goes.
