A photo, which is almost exactly like the last photo in January, except the leaves have grown back after the defoliation.
Looking at the photos here does help me see problems:
- the top right branch is out of whack – too think for the rest of the tree
- the middle left branch is too straight, and also think
- the top has a three way joint
- the smaller branches lack much in the way of movement
Possible radical solution: cut all the thicker branches off and rebuild from the lighter branches for an formal upright.
