This needs some shaping. And some insecticide. Shaping I can do today.

There’s a lot of dead branches on this tree. I don’t think it’s gotten worse since I picked it up, but the leaves do seem more eaten.
First pass of this was just getting rid of the dead branches. This alone made a big difference.

And then a second pass to clarify pads, and to sort out crossing branches.

Next: spring growth.
