Trident Maple: December 2022 training updates by michaelruschena Posted on December 31, 2022April 25, 2023 This one was a last year Christmas present. It’s been in a root bag to grow and thicken. Let’s check in. August 16. It’s winter, so it’s in hibernation. The Oxalis is running wild in parts of the garden, and this is one such part. August 19. Look at that, past-me was kind enough to clean out the oxalis. (I mean, there’s no way past-me got all the roots out, so it will return.) August 8. Spring is coming. December 3rd. It’s growing well, but there’s not much in the way of thickening, and those upper shoots are just lanky. I think I’ll leave it untouched for a while longer. (Also, there’s surprisingly little oxalis regrowth, so maybe I did get most of the roots.)
