Black Wattle: June 2023 Update

So I’ve had this fairly unimpressive and poorly composed photo sitting in my to-do pile since January.

Why would you take this picture from above, past-Michael? I mean, come on.

These are from seedlings grown last year and put into open soil in August 2022. Between August and January, there was some growth, but nothing to get excited about.

I started this post to get the picture out of the to-do pile, and realised which one it was.

Black Wattle: June 2023 Update
Oh, it’s the luxuriously wind-swept one that I’ve been watching grow thick.
That trunk is as thick as my thumb.
err… my pinkie? And on the right… well, I’ve moles thicker than that.

One very thick trunk, 3 moderate, one still a seedling. I am surprised by that change.
