I get some pretty windy days and nights. After one such night, during my morning watering I found this:
Apparently the winds had decided that this particular plant didn’t get bench rights. Or rather, it caught the wind enough to get blown overboard, and I guess the trunk hit the larger pot, tipping the juniper upright.
Being morning before work, I took a quick check… it seems solid enough. So this became a weekend problem.
Being the middle of winter, I didn’t really want to repot the tree. And despite the cracks, the pot felt sturdy enough. Honestly, I suspect the soil is solid enough that it’s holding the pot in place, not the other way around. So, I decided this could be punted down the road and made a spring problem.
