Sheoak: August 2024 update

I grew three Sheoaks in the ground for about 30 months. They were big beasts when I harvested them. So I put them in some large pots and left them to recover.

It didn’t go well. They promptly all lost their leaves and looked dead. Probably I made a mistake in not fully defoliating them. Or in harvesting in summer. Oh well. I’ve half-heartedly watered them since, and mostly moved around them.

They all look more or less like this.

Except… what’s that fuzziness around the top?

Sheoak: August 2024 update
That’s what sheoak leaves look like. I don’t make the rules.

The persistence of trees when it comes to randomly dying or not dying continues to surprise. the other two don’t have any growth, but that could be because they’re more in the shade. Or they’re dead. I’ll be able to guess in the next few months.
