Chinese Elm Cutting: November 2024 maintenance

After some rocky years, this is back on track enough to warranty some pruning.

Here’s the before state. Branches to the right are growing out of balance.

I can’t say that I have any vision for this tree, beyond being a small Chinese Elm which had the sorcery of cutting applied to a branch.

I’m not really sold on this being the front. A lot of the tree ends up hidden. Not that the tree is really good enough that “the front” matters all that much.
I think this makes a better side view, since it shows off more of the trunk and branches. The growth in the center doesn’t work for this though.

I’ve updated the Gallery picture from this old picture to the side picture, because it’s been in a new pot for two years now. Time to move on.
