These have not been doing well since being collected in August.

Exhibit 1.

As always, trees want to live.

For whatever reason, the phone just will not focus on the leaves.

That is not dead which through spring lies.

Given this may not be completely dead, I did what I should have done from the start and cut the trunks to a size matching the girth.

Thats green.
I covered both these with sealing paste, hoping these cuts won’t dry out the tree even further.
I did the same to the other one, although this wasn’t as green, and isn’t showing any buds.
