I potted these three in October in a simple forest planting. Let’s check in.

The trees then decided to die back heavily. All the leaves went brittle and feel off, while the unneeded branches to died back. Terrrific experience.

Some thoughts:
- The one on the right was the last to bud, and the lightest. I’m leaving it to recover for now.
- The center and the right one have dead top portions, which I’ll need to do something about it eventually.
- Compared to the Solo Black Wattle, this will need to be kept more in check, so the competing trees don’t swamp each other out.
- I suspect all three trees should have been planted further apart. Pity I didn’t take good notes on why they ended up this way.
- The Black Wattle tags are messed up… I need to check that.
