Black Wattle Solo: December 2024 maintenance

Staid conventional shot!
Interesting to see the tree growing around the cut tip.

The tree’s position on the bench discourages growth in one direction. Guess which one.

Top cut from a few years back. The underside is still live, but I think this top bit is dead.

The black wattle is very keen to back bud.

Black Wattle Solo: December 2024 maintenance — This is more or less the vision for this tree… lots of branches from the central trunk, going out to more or less the side of the pot.

A rotation. I think this needs a circular pot.

I’m not sure what development looks like for this tree. The branches grow in a pleasing left right fashion, but don’t seem to ramify in less than two or so inches. Which means all growth is getting cut. Will the branches thicken, and then ramify? Don’t know. And a search for ‘black wattle bonsai‘ is mostly returning my own pages ㋡. I guess we’ll see.
