I’m intending to try some branch benders as an alternative to wiring. Test criteria are:
- do they bend the branch well?
- do they hold up while exposed to elements?
- do I have suitable control?
- do they leave marks in the trees?
I’m not overly inclined to promote products, but this is a personal archive, and I might want to find them in the future.
I haven’t tried this yet. I feel this would bend something strong, though the outer hooks are narrow, and I think they’ll be the limiting factor.
I’ve tried the second. They are substantially cheaper, but rather fiddly to apply, at least for minor bends. Also, they came disassembled.
