Weeping Larch: September 2024 update

Spring is here, and the Weeping Larch once again surprises with it’s soft needles.

This is the starting point, with not much to do.
I was trying to think the other day whether I had any cascades. I completely forgot about this.

I did a little bit of tidying. Nothing major – I removed some of the dead branches underneath, which I guess just got smothered under higher branches, and were now bone dry. I also trimmed some of the longer growth so it doesn’t hit the ground.

I could possibly be more aggressive with some of the single branches in the middle, which might get some ramification.
Here’s a view from underneath the canopy. There are still some dead stumps showing.
And the under-view for the trunk.

Honestly, this is a very simple tree. It wants to weep and doesn’t want to grow up. I just need to keep it alive and develop the foliage into a discrete dress.
