I have a work KPI to do some presentations – part knowledge sharing, part personal development. Mostly they are fairly dry affairs of a technical something or other. But there’s no actual requirement that it be work related. Which means: I can spend an hour at work doing my hobby, and it counts.
The structure was:
- Six slides giving some bonsai basics (pruning basics, shape, root structure)
- Critiquing of three sample bonsais (Silver Birch, Chinese Elm, and Stumpy Lemon Myrtle) to show some of the basics I’d just shared.
- Pruning of the Black Wattle Solo.
It went well enough, which is to say most people politely listened for a while before going back to their work, which is more or less the standard response. But I completely failed to take any meaningful pictures. in the process.
