Western Australian Peppermint – 2019 Training

I picked this one up in March 2019 at the Ballan Fall festival for $12. It’s pretty skinny, so into a pot it goes for some thickening.

Here’s the initial plant:

Will I be able to get a weeping like that?

So formally this is the Agonis Flexuosa, but that’s a terrible mouthful, so for me this is the Western Australian Peppermint.

A few weeks of looking at it, and I decided to shorten…

Unlike other Australian natives I’ve tried, this one grows like crazy. Here it is in May.

Hmm… that doesn’t look like it grew. But it does. Trust me.
