Pepper Tree – January 2022 seedlings

There’s a whole lot of Pepper Trees in Bacchus Marsh. These days they are considered invasive, but the ones around here were planted however long ago and look great. So I’ve been wanting to grow some for a long time. But because they’re invasive, you can’t buy them. So on New Years Day I stopped under a few of the trees and looked for seeds. I found some – they looked old and dry, and the trees are only just beginning to grow new ones. I’ll try these. Will they germinate? I have no idea. But why not try?

The seeds. Some are dried out husks. Some actually have body left.
Soil + vermiculite + seeds
Add water and sunlight.
