Last year this had 4 or so leaf nodes, and didn’t seem inclined to grow more. It mostly looked sad.
I kinda figured it had something to do with the roots, which are supposedly big for Bottle Trees. Nope. I found out the secret when I was distributing fertilizer around the yard.
Much more leaves, and they’re still growing in June. I’m not sure if this is a viable tree for a shallow pot, but at least it’s not so sad.
