Dwarf Japanese Spindle: January 2024 update

I’d completely forgotten about this one at the end of the driveway strip. I had to poke around my blog to work out which one it was.

This was tough enough to beat the alyssum. Others were not so fortunate.

I’m not much excited about this one. It’s growing ok, and the leaves are small, but it is clearly a one-foot shrub. I don’t think there’s an interesting trunk underneath that. I’m not even sure it’s worth lifting. Maybe it stays as a marker of the end of the strip.
