Pepper trees growing wilds probably isn’t as significant as I previously thought – I’ve found a couple more growing in the garden this year. Given the number of them along this neck of the Werribee River, I assume birds are eating the berries and spreading the wealth as intended.

In any case, the one that I did save and bonsai grows quickly enough that I want regular pruning to get the weeping effect of the larger trees. Here’s some records from January.
