Another one that’s been a long time coming. Recaps:
- I got it in 2019 from a nursery giving away free to shift unwanted stock
- Air layer started in November 2020
- kept the air layer going after no progress by Jan 2022
I’ve had enough of waiting… time to move.

First, let’s look at that air layer.

Inspecting the growing medium… it was wet enough, but came out too easily to be promising.

After cleaning up, no sign of root growth, but lots of attempt to scab over? I don’t know if this is proto-roots, or something else.

Close ups:

I trimmed the results and put them in soil, but I don’t expect much.

Anyway, on with the main show. Out of the pot and lets have a look.

30 minutes in…

60 minutes in…

140 minutes in…

180 minutes in, and it’s clear enough for a hose on the last bits.

Time to start on the root base.

Which pot works?

Wiring in:

And there we go.

On the bench.

I do note that from this angle it’s rather more off-center than I thought.
And the offcuts.
