White Cedar: 2023 seed attempt

There’s a type of tree in near work which I’d like to germinate. I’ve previously tried under the tag of Chinaberry. This year I spent some time on the council planning documents to identify these as White Cedars.

In July 2023 I picked some seeds and had another go:

I don’t know if wrinkled seeds are ready, or the green ones.
Wetting for stratification.
Into the fridge.

Two months later, let’s pull them out.

That… does not look good.
No time for second guessing, let’s let the miracle of nature deal with it.

Four months later, nothing.

I don’t have to deal with this, I can get almost any seed to not germinate.

To be clear, I’ve thrown that out. Maybe I’ll try again. But I doubt it.
