Clumping Bamboo: April 2024 cleanup

In November I toyed with the idea of thinning it out the bamboo. But it turned out to be a single solid stump growing all the bamboos, and I couldn’t find a good way to do the thinning. So I just repotted and left it to grow.

Five months of freely growing. Let bamboo be bamboo, I think.
The oxalis and grass trying to hitch a ride… I can’t be having that.
And done. I was clearly undecided whether to constrain the height, but as I look back… of course I need to constrain the height.
Taking a closer look at that stump… I thought this was debris, but I think it’s actually the bamboo connective tissue. Normally this would be underground, but that’s not going to work…. unless maybe for a smaller, deeper pot?
The clear tall to short is an interesting feature that makes this a side view.
Front view, which is a little unclear in the photo.
