An update for the Bottle Tree.
Recall the old appearance, where the tree branched about one third of the total height, and then went rambling on up.
I decided I didn’t like this look. I wanted to lower the overall height, and encourage some ramification. So about a year ago, I cut both branches down to a move even height. I’ve done that twice now.
New growth is slow. I’m beginning to suspect that Bottle Trees have very particular pruning requirements? Or maybe they just grow slow. At this stage, I plan to leave it alone for the year, and see what happens.
