It’s been 4 months since I picked this up. I was thinking about potting it, but that’s not going to happen. Plus it needs some reshaping to be more tree and less hedge. So let’s do that for Spring.
Starting point:
As a hedge tree, this will bud everywhere, with a strong tendency to grow up.
The pruning goals were:
- bring down the height of the tree
- reduce branching to two per node
- open up the insides to promote inner budding
- show the profile of the tree
