Crepe Myrtle: February 2024 Updates

I have been rewarded after a November repotting with flowers. Also, a lot of actively green new growth. But also flowers.

This is late January, and I’m cutting away some of the dead and burned branches around the top. And what’s that below?
A sprig.
Cleaned up and ready for the rest of the season.
This is a couple of weeks later in February. Just on it’s bench, so never mind the cobwebs.
Honestly, that’s a fairly sad flower. It looks better when the whole branch has flowered. And there’s more than one branch.

I haven’t had flowering from this one since 2019, so this is a definite return to form. Plus the leaves are green, and there’s new growth. I’m very pleased with adding perlite to the soil mix.
